The successful candidate will join CK Star Entertainment based in Malaysia as a Senior Executive, Marketing Strategy and Communications.
The Senior Marketing Executive supports the Country Manager support our marketing, media, and PR efforts across the group. The role is responsible for driving brand awareness, managing social media platforms, and executing campaigns to engage audiences and generate leads.
Key responsibilities include developing and running digital campaigns, creating and managing content calendars, and exploring new platforms to grow reach. You will also plan and execute marketing initiatives across multiple channels, while staying updated on trends to enhance events and concert-goer experience.
In addition, you will handle media and PR activities such as drafting press releases, coordinating with artiste management for approvals, and managing media enquiries, interviews, and press events. This role is ideal for someone creative, organized, and digitally savvy, with a passion for marketing in the events and entertainment industry.
Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Country Manager, your duties and responsibilities for the Group of Companies are as follows:
- Supporting the Manager on marketing, media and PR matters relating to the company
- Developing online campaigns to drive traffic to social media channels
- Proposing new initiatives to attract prospects and convert leads as well as testing new approaches to capture existing demands
- Planning and executing initiatives to reach the target audiences through different channels
- Take on full ownership of social media accounts
- Content creation and calendar management (write, schedule and post)
- Seek out and set up new social media platforms
- Evaluate latest technology trends that can be leveraged to spur innovation in events, exhibitions and customer experience
- Liaise with artiste management counterparts for approval of key artwork, press releases and other communication materials
- Craft press releases for each project involved in the launch of the company’s festivals and concerts as necessary
- Manage media enquiries, interview requests, press conferences and other corporate events
- Source and secure partnerships and sponsorships aligned with the company’s events
- Your duties shall comprise the duties of your appointment, and without further remuneration, other duties deemed appropriate by the Company
Job Requirements
- Strong interest in the music/entertainment industry and some knowledge of music trends
- Good disposition, interpersonal, meticulous and detail-oriented
- At least 3 years of experience in relevant social media / digital marketing experience
- Possess a keen attitude to learning and is comfortable working in a diverse and dynamic environment
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office
- May require working long and irregular hours, including weekends, during the event period
